“Today’s slut is responsible, educated, and confident; she’s sexually adventuresome and won’t live by society’s random constraints on her personal sexual behavior. If she’s of a mind to pick up a guy in a club, take him into the bathroom and blow him, then she’ll do it. If a woman she meets at a professional conference asks her back to the room for a nightcap, she can accept understanding (hoping?) that it might turn into a ribald, lesbian romp. She fucks, but does so safely, responsibly, and consensually.”—
I think outlets like Tumblr are giving women even greater ability to explore their sexuality without negative reprecussions. And as far as the word slut goes, I love it! I wish more women would take the word back because it has nothing but positive connotations for me.
Fuck off with ‘thinspiration’ photos & posts. I’m sick of hearing it.
Swing your flab around, be proud of it. Focus your energy on something more important than purging. Eat the things you want. Fuck it!
What about when “eating the things you want” starts to become a health…
Well obviously I’m not condoning eating disorders such as binge eating, Im simply saying be proud of your body. No matter what weight, size or shape. Girls need to stop being so pessimistic, with all the crushing pressure from the media to look a certain way we need to fight back. Being healthy is important but having a healthy mind/mentality is more important. What is on the inside certainly comes through to the surface.
"Love don’t make the world go round, it holds it right in place. Keeps us thinking love’s too pure to see another face. Love’s another skin-trap, another social weapon. Another way to make men slaves and women at their beckon. Love’s another sterile gift, another shit condition. That keeps us seeing just the one and others not existing. Woman in a holy myth, a gift of mans expression. She’s sweet, defenseless, golden-eyed, a gift of gods repression. If we didn’t have these codes for love, of tokens and positions. We’d find ourselves as lovers still, not tokens of possessions.”
