Hecate or Hekate (/ˈhɛkətiː/; ancient Greek Ἑκάτη, Hekátē) Considered one of the ancient goddess, and in some tales, the only Titan allowed to retain her authority after the Olympians seized control, Hecate is a triple faced goddess associated with witchcraft, the underworld and its subsequent entities such as the dead and ghosts as well as being known for her maternal instincts and her ability to accept the strange nature of people. Known also as a Moon goddess, Hecate was said to be Persephone’s consort during her seasonal time in the Underworld. Her ease in the underworld has also made her the goddess of liminal spaces such as crossroads and different spiritual planes. As a guardian she is often called upon for protection, especially over women.

Witchcraft Altered Shadowbox Book - Salem Witch Trials on Etsy.
This Mixed Media collage is created inside of a box that looks like a book. Disguised as an old book from the century, the cover reads Witchcraft, AND the Persons guilty of that crime may be convicted… Taken from a historical document written by John Hale 1697.

So fucking cool.
